A setting of a text taken from James Joyce’s Ulysses. Commissioned in 2015 by the New Cambridge Singers and first performed by them with viol consort Newe Vialles, conducted by Graham Walker, in Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge in April 2017.
A meditation, after Herman Melville: this setting of fragments from Moby-Dick was commissioned by the University of Wisconsin and Temple University, Philadelphia. First performed in Philadelphia in November 2014 and in Wisconsin in April 2015. The UK premiere was at Gloucester Cathedral in July 2018 at the Three Choirs Festival.

Three songs for soprano, clarinet, double-bass and harp; poems by Georges Fourest (1867-1945).These light-hearted settings were premièred by The Hermes Experiment in September 2014 at L’Aura des Arts Festival, Aubazine, France. They can be heard on The Hermes Experiment début album HERE WE ARE, released by Delphian Records in July 2020.

Commissioned by University of Wisconsin, Whitewater in April 2015, this rollicking setting of a ballad by the composer tells the heartwarming & tragic tale of Henry Quackenbush (inventor of the Quackenbush fairground rifle and patent nutcracker) and chronicles the rise and fall of his industrial empire.
